Tonight is the first dance of the year! It will be in the school cafeteria from 7-9 and you MUST have your school ID to enter. If you do not have your school ID you will NOT be able to enter the dance. You should have your parents drop you off in the CAR RIDER lane. Only the doors on that side of the school will be open when you enter the dance. When you leave the dance, the 7th graders will exit on the CAR RIDER side and the 8th graders will exit on the BUS side. The cost of the dance will be $5 and you may want to bring extra money for drinks because the drinks will not be free. Also, remember to eat before the dance! Please remember that the school dress code WILL BE enforced! Have fun at the dance!!!!
"Yearbook is sponsoring an art contest starting today and ending . The information sheet may be picked up in the choir room (712). The top 3 artists will have their artwork featured in the yearbook and Madi Foster will bring you candy."
Students make sure you make a copy of your report card if you will need it for any upcoming events.
Extra copies will not be made for you.
So once again, remember YOU must make a copy of your report card before you return it to your advisory teacher.
Our CSMS Attendance Clerk, Dawn Oden,will be undergoing a kidney transplant next week. On , CSMS will be holding a Blood Drive in her honor in the Lecture Hall from . Any parent wishing to donate blood should go to the website to sign up for a time slot. Middle school students are not allowed to give blood. For middle school students wishing to help, we will have a donation box in the office from for any monetary donations to be given to the family after her surgery.
Our make-up picture day will be on the morning of Nov. 19. This opportunity is for students:
- who were absent on our first picture day OR
- are new to CSMS since September OR
- had a problem with their purchased photo package.
Students who already took a picture on the first day will not be able to take another picture unless they bring the original package of purchased pictures with them that day.
If you have not been attending MathCounts but want to take the AMC8 test next week, you MUST check with Mr. Bassett by at the latest.
There will NOT be MathCounts the next two Mondays.
The 7th grade Lady Cub basketball team won two games last night against the Brenham Lady Cubettes. The Black team had an overwhelming win with the score of 92-2. The leading scorers were Brooklyn Andrus with 16 points and Emely Sanchez with 12 points. The Purple team also had a blowout win with the score of 83-4. The leading scorer was Rebekah Hailey with 17 points. Outstanding defense was played by everyone.The Black team had a total of 61 steals and the Purple had 43 steals. Great effort and hustle by both teams. The Lady Cubs will play again at SFA. Come support your Lady Cubs!
The 8th grade lady cub basketball team won two games last night. The 8th grade black team won 38-0. Taylor Hollis was high point with 8 points. Defensive standout was Hailey Thornton with 4 steals and 6 rebounds. The purple team won 61- 8. Taquanzia Smith was high point with 18 points. Krista Collins was the defensive standout with 5 steals. Annika Williams led the team in rebounds with 7. A special thanks to Coach Cermin and Mrs. Restivo for being our guest coaches last night.
Students and Teachers, The locker rooms will be locked during the day from now on due to security issues. So students please do not leave anything other than workout clothes in the lockers. Teachers please do not allow students to go to the locker room during your class. This includes advisory.
Cheerleaders, all fundraiser forms are due today. Make sure that you have turned in your forms and money before the end of school
