CSMS Daily Announcements for Apr. 15

CSMS Announcements

APRIL 15, 2014

Attention all students:  If you did not get a chance to participate in the last U.IL. invitational meet and still wish you could compete, now is your chance.  The district meet is going to be held on April 26th at S.F.A. and we are looking for students to fill some competitions.

Mrs. Morrison is looking for students to compete in Modern Oratory which is a speaking competition, Art, and Chess.  If you think you might be interested in any of these competitions and want to learn more, please see Mrs. Morrison right away.

Anyone interested in being in the talent show needs to try out either today or tomorrow in the cafeteria after school.  Try outs will start right at after school.

If you are participating in the U.I.L. meet on April 26th, please make sure you get a permission slip from your coach and get those turned in right away!

If you are interested in competing in the UIL Chess contest, you MUST see Mr. Bassett by TOMORROW.  He will give you some practice questions so you can decide if you are interested.

This is NOT a chess-playing contest, it is a test ABOUT chess.

For more information, contact Jamie Bassett at  jbassett@csisd.org

The Sports Medicine Department at College Station High School is looking for new student athletic trainers for next school year.  They would like to invite you to come to spring football practices starting Tuesday of next week after school until 6:30pm.  For more information contact Chelsea Frashure or ask one of the CSMS coaches how to get more information.

Students that are running for Student Council: If you met last week's deadline to turn in forms then you MUST attend ONE of the MANDATORY Video meetings that will be held this Wednesday April 16th at 8:00 am in room 212 or this Thursday April 17th at 3:45 pm

in room 212. Failure to attend one of these meetings will mean that your name will be removed from the ballot.

Students make sure you make a copy of your report card if you will need it for any upcoming events such as Student Council, dance or cheer teams, sporting events, NJHS, summer camps, etc.  Extra copies will not be made for you.   So once again, remember YOU must make a copy of your report card before you return it to your teacher.
